'THE GREAT BRITISH CARVERY' AVAILABLE AT OUR PUB |
All of our Carvery joints come from
British Red Tractor Assured Farms that ensure the safety and
welfare of their animals, whilst protecting and caring for the
environment. We only source the very best British meats and
seasonal vegetables, so our Carvery offer changes every day.
Today’s roasted meats will be
usually a choice of 3 of the following:
Matured Saxon British beef, Norfolk turkey, Stuffed belly of
Norfolk pork, Leg of Yorkshire pork, Outdoor bred British gammon,
West Country shoulder of lamb.
All served with a homemade Yorkshire pudding, chipolata sausage
and stuffing. Choose from a selection of freshly prepared
vegetables and potatoes. Top it all off with our roast onion (v)
or roast meat gravy.
Monday to Saturday £7.50.
Sunday £8.95.
If you do not fancy a Carvery meal
our Table menu has a comprehensive range of the best pub food
dishes. Why not try our 'Homemade Pie of the Day' served with
your choice of Carvery vegetables.

 The
Blackbrook Tavern
is to be found 500 yards from Junction 25
of the M5 on the A358 Ilminster Road at Ruishton. Apart from being
only a few miles from Taunton with its historic castle and museum, other
local attractions are Cricket St Thomas, half an hour's drive and the
Crealy Adventure Park, 45 minutes drive away. Built into the hill,
this ivy covered Inn dates back to the 18th Century. Fully refurbished
to a high standard in June 2008, we have a new contemporary look with a
neutral toned colour scheme of beiges and browns. The restaurant has been
extended and opened up to create more of an airy, open space with attractive
plants around. There are now upper and lower restaurant areas, with a
total o 250 covers, as well as a small seating area to enjoy just a drink or
a cup of coffee. This busy destination food house offers quality food served
from our daily carvery or extensive table menu, giving a wide variety of
dishes, all of which are freshly prepared in-house and cooked to order.
Meat used is all 'red tractor certified' and farm assured and we try to
source our produce locally. Outdoors has been given a spruce up as well,
with fresh paint. The beer garden offers a retreat during the summer
months and has a play area for our younger visitors to use up some of their
energy. Covered areas with giant umbrellas and a pagoda, both have
heating and lighting, so can be used all year round. This pretty venue
is one to put on your 'must try soon' list and worth travelling a little out
of your way to find. We would love to see you soon. |
