Located
just outside Bath City Centre, The Bear
was rebuilt in 1956 after being bombed and is easily recognised by the big
white bear on the front! We attract numerous coach parties of American
and Japanese tourists because of the pub's history. Recently
refurbished, we are a lighter, brighter venue to enjoy a great meal. The Bear is open plan with a
large dining area, although food chosen from a good main menu can be eaten anywhere in the
pub.
Despite being food orientated we also show all major sports matches in a relaxed welcoming venue rather
than a loud, lively one. Our clientele of the mid 30’s
and above find this a really comfortable place to come for a quiet drink and chat
with family or friends. Three times a year we have a roof display and
this draws quite a crowd, especially at Christmas. Come along soon and
give us a try, the friendly team look forward to seeing you.
