Med backs onto
the river in the pretty town of Shrewsbury, close to Quarry Park which has
many events going on. The Shrewsbury flower show in August time is the
second biggest in the country. A contemporary looking venue with a brown
and cream decor, this venue is open plan yet with three separate zones.
This allows you to choose
where to sit according to your mood. You can spread out to chat, drink
or dine in other areas with comfy seating, sofas and wooden chairs all
around. The ‘late room’ is the nightclub area which
opens up for DJ entertainment four nights a week.
Any of the three areas can be hired out to cater for private parties, with
the largest seating up to 60 people. We get a very mixed crowd from 18
to 60
years. Weekends attract a younger, lively crowd for the DJ led varied music.
During the summer months the large patio area to the back
of the pub is a popular haunt being a great sun trap and having tables and seating for up to 60
people. Come along soon and have a fun time at Bar Med.
