 The Paraffin Lamp
is
in the Almondvale Centre, a big shopping centre, in Livingston
off the M8. The pub was built at the same time as the centre in 1976.
The only way to describe it is ‘traditional in style’ with an open plan
layout and a separate zone where the pool tables and darts board are.
This is a popular, friendly community / locals pub. Many visitors,
shoppers and foreigners come in during the day to enjoy a lunchtime meal or
relax over a quality pint. The local regulars always make you feel
welcome. For the Sport enthusiasts there are plenty of TVs and a big screen
positioned to enable the match to be viewed from anywhere in the pub.
Call in next time you are passing and enjoy a game of pool, or just a
