The Nine Maidens
is an 'undiscovered treasure' situated in a residential area of Dundee.
This great locals bar is next to a private golf course and attracts
custom from there, especially at lunchtime. Although pretty
uninspiring on the exterior having a flat roof, inside is a different
matter with its separate bar and lounge rooms. For Sport
enthusiasts we have a newly installed Greek channel which enables us to
show all exclusive Premiership matches during the week and on Saturdays.
There is a pool table and darts board for a sociable game with friends
over a pint. We also have 10 domino teams which play most of the
year and have their own league within the pub of the 10 teams!
Food is chosen from an excellent menu to be eaten anywhere in the pub or
in the small beer garden. Our Best of Barras offer twice a week is
very popular. This John Barras pub has a fantastic community
spirit. We hold various charity events for Children in Need, the elderly and the police
- we once raised £1000 in just one day! We even manage to feed about 100
pensioners over Christmas. For that special occasion we have a function
room which can accommodate 180 people with a late license if required. If
you live in the area or have recently moved here, don't leave it any longer
before trying this great pub. Elaine and her helpful, friendly team look
forward to giving you a really warm welcome.
