A magnificent coaching inn steeped in history, overlooking the green in one of the most beautiful villages in Oxfordshire. The Red Lion has a wealth of old oak, stone chimney-pieces and other original features – be prepared to duck under low beams and squeeze through narrow doorways! The bar serves traditional ales and fine wines, served from cool cellars and stone vaults, while the restaurant’s menu offers excellent English and Continental country fare.

Red Lion pub, Adderbury The Red Lion is originally a 15th Century Coaching Inn, located in the village of Adderbury on the main Banbury to Oxford road. A beautiful building with it's original features outside and in, you will be welcomed by cosy open fires and oak beams. Uniquely, there is a list of landlords which goes back to the 1600's displayed in the bar area. Comfortable en-suite bedrooms are available with full facilities, where you will feel at home. Homemade food is freshly cooked on the premises in our restaurant. A wide choice is available from an A La Carte, vegetarian and children's menu. You will not be disappointed, whatever you opt for, should it be our special Pheasant pudding followed by one of our homemade desserts or a lighter option.
