Nags Head PhotoThe Nags Head was originally 3 crofters cottages built in the 16th Century made into one and first licensed as a pub in 1856.  As you would expect from such an old building the 5 rooms have lots of nooks and crannies where good conversation can be enjoyed.  The Nags Head is unique because of it's location, being on an island in the river.  There is car parking at the end of the bridge which takes you over to the pub and gardens.  Inside you will find a 60 seater restaurant in the Conservatory providing views of the river which actually passes under the pub itself.  You can even view it from the restaurant.  We serve good quality pub food which is all homemade and our Sunday roasts, with children’s portions available, are particularly popular.  During the summer months we hold BBQs at the weekends.  Boat trips to and from Oxford take place twice a day from May to September from our own jetty.  See you soon!

When you visit the pub please let the staff know you have seen it on Pub Explorer.
