hamper. Ordered from the bar they don't take long to prepare and include
many of The Fishes favourite items. A selection of deli, a Caesar Salad,
Sandwiches & Salads & Eton Mess! On Sunday our Summer Picnic Sunday
Roast adds to the choice. |

Just off the A34 and 5 minutes from the town centre. Refurbished to a high standard
in 2005 The
Fishes is an attractive brick building
built in the 1800's. Staff here are always ready to give you a
traditional, warm welcome in this friendly
atmosphere. Quality homemade food, including deli boards, is
served throughout the day. In the evening an a la carte menu
offers an excellent selection of meals to choose from. Your meal
can always be accompanied by one of our carefully selected fine wines,
which present to you quality and value. Summer picnics were introduced
in 2005 which proved to be a great
hit! A river runs along the bottom of our large beer garden
where you can sit and enjoy the tranquillity. There is now a new decking area to
relax with a drink or meal during the warmer months.
Children have an adventure playground with climbing frames, so they
will be kept amused while you read the paper or have a chat. We are able to cater for parties such as christenings and birthdays
for up to 40 people. When you come to the Fishes, whether it is for a drink or a meal, you will always be guaranteed good
