The Wheatsheaf
formerly the 'Old Manor Farmhouse', is an attractive building with lots
of history, which was converted to a pub in 1983 by it's owners at the
time Mr & Mrs Plummer.
Built in
traditional Norfolk flint and surrounded by converted
farm buildings it is situated in West Beckham, a hamlet 3
miles from Sheringham and the coast and 4 miles from the
picturesque, Georgian town of Holt, 1 mile off the A148. Inside you will find beamed bar areas with a log fire
in winter and a two separate dining rooms. You can
choose from a wide selection of home prepared traditional fayre, off our
main menu or specials menu and there is even a children's menu for the
young ones. If a big meal is too much for you there is a choice of
light meals, sandwiches, soup etc, on offer. our delicious,
filling handmade desserts are not to be missed - if you room!
Seven real ales are always available with popular guest ales priced at a
great £1.90, which are changed at least weekly alongside a range from
Norfolk based Woodforde's brewery. The large garden and covered
terrace is ideal in the summer for enjoying our live music & events
which we hold on a regular basis. Also a popular place to relax
with a drink and enjoy the warmer weather. Self catering
accommodation is available all with wonderful views of the surrounding
countryside. A friendly welcome always awaits you in this
traditional family run pub.
