The Royal Oak
is situated in the heart of Church
Greseley. The Royal Oak
occupies a building dating back some150 years, part of which was formerly a
shop. This attractive and welcoming pub has a warm and comfortable interior,
with lovely features such as the attractive window etchings. Leaseholders Nigel
and Lynne Parker have been here since 1992 , and have built up the pubs reputation
for quality and service. It was part of the Bass brewery network for nearly 100
years, and is now a Punch Tavern serving draught Bass as well as a god range of
other ales, lagers, wines and spirits. The eye catching exterior boasts a wealth
of lush window boxes, tubs, hanging baskets and other attractive blooms. There
are two picnic tables here - just the place to relax over a quiet drink on fine
days. From the A444 3 miles S.E. Burton on Trent, Cadley hill island signed A514
Swadlincote, right 3rd exit next island, 2nd right, top of hill bear left take
2nd right Oak Street pub on corner of second junction. Nearest landmark Gresely
Rovers football club.
