The Wheatsheaf Inn
is
a public house that suits all tastes. Lunchtime and early afternoon food with
home cooked pies, and a selection of cask ales on the bar from national,
regional and small brewers. There is also an O.A.P. special menu on Tuesdays
offering meals at a low price. A finalist in the 1999 licensee sports bar of the
year, it has a separate function room showing the latest televised sports events
on a big screen and on widescreen televisions. The function room with its own
bar is available for private hire. The pub also has a courtyard and separate
children's play area with swings and a slide. In the town centre.
From the market place, turn left at the traffic lights
and continue down Cricklade Street where the pub is on the left hand side just
past the junction with Ashcroft Road. The car park is at the back of the pub and
is approached from the Forum car park.
