The Royal Oak
is a real village pub! Sonny's, which has featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide for the past six years, is a traditional village pub serving at least four real ales, cider and good home cooked food.
Originally a farmhouse it retains its friendly atmosphere and remains at the centre of many village activities.
One of the most original features is one of the newest - the locals (with a little help from their friends) painted a mural in the skittle alley.
All of the walls are covered with pub scenes containing most of the pub
regulars - nearly 100, in cartoon form. It's well worth a visit!
Pub games such as skittles, darts, pool, cribbage and table football are regularly played and annual events such as the Beer Festival and the "pub outing" are greatly anticipated.
Sonny's is becoming renowned for being "biker friendly" with weekly Bike nights and
runs and an annual Point-to-Point. Oscar & Dolly (our resident parrots) look forward to meeting you, along with the dogs, cat, Shetland ponies and fish!
