Queens Head Photo

The Queens Head Hotel is a family run pub with accommodation, excellent quality home cooked food with a selection of cask ales, award winning secluded beer garden with aviary, within easy walking distance of Durham City.  A traditional old pub, formerly a coaching inn, near to the river you can dine in the bar, lounge or the separate non smoking restaurant with about 70 covers.  Food is served seven days a week and is all cooked to order using fresh ingredients and we offer a large and varied menu alongside a Specials board.  Not forgetting our traditional roast lunch on a Sunday which is very popular.  The public bar houses the pool, darts & TV, which shows sky and terrestrial sports.  The lounge is a quieter area where you can enjoy a chat amongst friends.  Our comfortable accommodation is reasonably priced and you can start the day off with a good old fashioned Full English Breakfast which is included in the price.  Linda and her staff look forward to welcoming you.
