Two and a half miles from Ely sign posted from the A10.
Drive through the village of Little Downham and we are at
the end on the right. The Plough Inn is a very warm, cosy and friendly
country pub of which there are few in this area. Two
fires and settles add to the cosiness in winter. In 1998
the pub was due for closure until we came along. Business
turned around and Greene King took this lovely little
cottage pub off the market. I do all the home cooked
meals, which in winter months include Jugged Hare in Port,
pheasant, duck and guinea fowl. We always celebrate
special events. Myself as landlady have been in the pub
trade since I was 15. Serving meals on Sunday lunch from
our everyday menu is something we have just started. We
welcome dogs and children providing they are kept under
control.
