Bampton is halfway between Faringdow & Witney Oxon on the A4095. The
Horseshoe is in the centre of the village.

 The Horse Shoe is a thriving village community pub. Bampton is the
origins of Morris dancing and the pub is home to the Bampton Morris dancers
side. They practice dancing every Sunday evening between Easter and Whit Sunday
in our garden. On Spring bank holiday Monday, a Morris festival is held in the
village and there is dancing outside the pub with other guest teams. The evening
culminates in a lovely country music session. We have darts, pool, Aunt Sally
and quiz teams, all playing local leagues. We are also home to a football
team,
a cricket club and a golf society. We host village meetings including garden
club, British legion, play group and R.N.I.B. We are a focal point of a lively
friendly community.
