The Globe Inn is a 17th century Inn became even better known when Robert Burns frequented
it in the 1790's. He described it as his favorite Howff. Since then many
visitors from near and far have enjoyed the atmosphere and history which the
globe has retained. You can dine in the room Burns frequented and sit on
the poets chair. The room which Burns, when staying overnight can be viewed and
various poems written by the poet on the window panes can be read and enjoyed in
situ. You can find us in the town centre opposite Marks & Spencer's, up an alley way from
the Street.
