Some parts of the Blacksmiths
Arms can be traced back to the 16th century although since
we purchased it 6 years ago we have done it up, we have tried to keep to the
character of the building. The pub has two bars so the nights we have music
those wishing to get away from noise can do so we have smoke extractors and air cleansers
in both bars. The pub has a lovely friendly atmosphere and everyone who uses it
is really friendly. We have 4 dart teams, 2 pool teams, 1 football team, a real
ale club who raise a lot of money for any local charitable causes. i.e. through
race nights, quizzes, yard of ale contest etc. Our restaurant is at rear of
building completely separate from drinking bars. The old stable block has been
converted to house this, It seats approx 34 people also we have a very beautiful
large garden with play area for children at rear of pub. We always have 4 real
ales , Tetley, Worthington, Burton and 1 guest ale. We have a wide selection of
other drinks. On A1131 old route to Clacton on Sea situated in the village of Little
Clacton.
