Take Junction 28 off the Honiton Road and Plymtree is 3
and a half miles down. The Blacksmith's Arms
is a typical Devon village
pub in semi-isolated, deep Devon countryside, situated in
a village with a population of approximately 450. With a
beautiful landscaped beer garden, of which two sides back
onto the grounds of an Anglo-Saxon church, with a 1100
year old yew tree. An excellent well used skittle alley
and boule piste. Village activities include cricket,
skittles, live music and so on. A very cosy and welcoming
atmosphere make this a friendly, "olde worlde"
pub.
