Off but visible from A379 Exeter to Torbay Road. The Anchor Inn is an olde worlde, low beamed, 450 year old smugglers inn. The beer veranda overlooks a land locked harbour with bobbing boats. There is a train running across the harbour and good views of the Exe estuary. Local mussels and oysters, local caught fish, open fires in winter. Publican nominated for Catering pub of the Year 2000 and the pub was voted Bar Food of the Year award in Pub Food Magazine.
