The Salutation Inn serves superb food and drink
in an informal and relaxing atmosphere, with an
understated but attentive service. Food is served throughout the
pub and all our food from the eggs to fish is locally sourced and we offer
a great range of food from simple dishes such as pizzas made from scratch
on the premisis to steaks & fish dishes. Our restaurant
seats 32, and we have a further 2 lounge bars and a smoking bar which
seats 40 people. We are a 17th century coaching inn, with restaurant
originally being a cow / pig shed and the bar still has original rings to
cure hams. We are one of the most haunted pubs in Wales with 8
ghosts which can be traced date back to 1759 - strange goings on have been noted
here. Because of of location we are popular with walkers &
fishermen and allow dogs in the bar are, where they are catered for with
water etc. A truly traditional
style country pub situated on the A40 between Carmarthen and Llandeilo.
