General Information

This fine half-timbered Victorian pub, like the town centre in which it commands a prime position, has two distinct sides to its character – day time and night time. By day it belongs to the people who do business and live in the town, a busy meeting and eating place with a convivial atmosphere and appetising bar food. In the evening “Fitzy’s” is renowned for being the highest quality drinking place on the famous Whitley Bay circuit, thanks in large part to best selection of real ales in the town centre and cheerful, fast and professional bar staff. Its popularity is enhanced by its proximity to the Metro Station and taxi rank and – on Sky match days – by the big screen TV in the ship room.
