The Traveller’s Rest dates from the mid. 17th Century. A quaint, rural pub,
yet within a stones throw of the Town Centre of Harrogate. The interior boasts old wooden
beams, stoned floor area and also a light airy conservatory leading to the garden area.
There is ample seating, most of which overlooks a small lake area, with sheep, ducks,
swans etc. The enviable position of the Traveller’s Rest is what makes it a very
special destination, for a lovely bar meal or just a relaxing drink of
traditional beer or
a glass of wine. Good car parking facilities are also available at this very ‘women
friendly’ venue, which in this day & age is important. Part of the " Ringway
Walk" around Harrogate runs along the private lane where the Traveller’s Rest is
situated.
