Kings Head Hotel

Georgian built, the Kings Head Hotel is a very traditional, attractive looking pub with original features such as old beams and original windows, fully refurbished in late Spring 2011. Previously the building was the local tax office for the community and then became an Inn. We are a popular locals pub as well as a quality dining Chef & Brewer venue which is convenient for tourists. Lightwater Valley is close by and there are plenty of attractions such as the local breweries. With an open fireplace in the bar for the winter months and many nooks and crannies for more private dining an excellent homely atmosphere is created. We serve freshly prepared food in both the bar and restaurant from an extensive main menu. There are covers for 50 people in the bar and a further 45 in the restaurant where candles are lit in the evenings. Additional facilities include high quality letting rooms which are all non smoking and refurbished in 2008, as well as meeting and function facilities for all occasions. We hold a license for civil ceremonies. Enjoy us at any time of year whether inside this welcoming pub or outside in the courtyard area during the summer.
