Our mouth-watering new Autumn Winter menu offers a range of your favourite Chef & Brewer dishes. We also have a great selection of new dishes - so whether it's a platter to share with friends, a delicious starter or a classic main course, we have something to suit everyone! Try our new range of delicious platters, including our impressive Chef & Brewer platter or perhaps choose one of the Chef & Brewer favourites, including the Winter Pie Platter and scallops and black pudding.  The Hutt is to be found opposite Newstead Abbey and was built in 1400 as part of the Newstead estate, owned by the Byron family from 1540. It used to be known as the Royal Hutt and King John stayed here when it was first built. There is a blocked off tunnel, built by the monks, a mile long, which stretches from the Abbey to the pub. Fully refurbished to a high standard in June 2008, we have retained our traditional look and olde worlde style with nooks and crannies and old wooden beams. Like all Chef & Brewer pubs we employ high quality Chefs who have superb kitchen facilities. The food can be chosen from a main menu or unique Specials from the chalk boards which allow our Chefs to show their flair! You will be served meals which have been prepared from the freshest of ingredients and cooked to order. To complement your meal there is an extensive choice of quality wines.
