Horse & Groom PhotoSituated in the picturesque village of Moorgreen the Horse & Groom can be found on the B600 off Junction 27 of the M1. You will not be disappointed when you visit this traditional rural pub, which welcomes families into a delightful, trouble free atmosphere where friendly staff are on hand to help you. With a major refurbishment in 2006, we have retained a traditional but stylish feel.  Close to Moorgreen reservoir, it has beautiful views and is popular with both locals and visitors.  Because of the location a lot of ramblers pop in for a drink or a bite to eat.  An extensive choice of food is on offer from various menus including mouth-watering homemade specials from the board.  With such a variety the Horse & Groom has something for everyone and should certainly not be passed by if you are looking for a place to eat, or just to have a refreshing drink.  Families are welcomed and the children have their own outdoor play area, so they can be kept amused whilst you relax and enjoy the sunshine in our large beer garden or on the large new decking area, with umbrellas, heating and lighting, so you can go out in pretty much all weathers.  Special occasions can be celebrated with us and we are happy to cater for all events including wedding receptions, anniversaries and birthdays.  We have an area upstairs which can seat 35 people and is also available for buffets.  All enquiries are welcome.  The Horse & Groom can offer you a good choice of drinks including the fantastic Hardys and Hansons real ales.  We are sure after you have tried us, another visit is very likely!

When you visit the pub please let the staff know you have seen it on Pub Explorer.
