The Bowman

The Bowman is located just on the outskirts Hucknall town centre which is a fairly busy town. The pub forms part of an original manor house with parts being very old. There is original, exposed brickwork and in particular the function area has many features. We re-opened following a refurbishment in Summer 2011 and are now part of the Flaming Grill group. We are very much focused on food with a superb offer which attracts many families. Part of the restaurant is on a raised area and with just under 200 covers there is always places to sit and browse our menu. Most of our customer choose to dine in the restaurant however for more informal dining we can serve snacks and bar meals throughout the pub. Our relaxed atmosphere is extended to the garden during the summer months when al fresco dining is available. There is a good grassed area to sit out on and outdoor furniture on the patio with 25 tables. The outside children's play area is popular with families. We welcome a broad mix of customers including local regulars from the surrounding housing estate, shoppers who have been to the town centre and business people staying at the attached Premier Inn. We are busiest at the weekends. In recent years a new residential estate has been built and now we see many more local regulars. A number of walkers and day visitors come in when travelling to and from Nottingham with the Robin Hood link and all that it has to offer including Nottingham Castle. We are also convenient for Matlock which has great facilities for shopping, leisure and recreation. Although we have a young team they are very skilled, most having 3 years experience and are all keen to make your time here a pleasant one. We look forward to welcoming you.
