 The Ashley
lies in a residential area very close to the town centre of Worksop. Local
places of interest include Creswell Craggs, a playing field
which is full of caves and is among the most northerly places on earth to
have been visited by our ancient ancestors. There is a Museum and
Education Centre there. We are also close to Robin Hood Country,
Sherwood Forest. Mr Straws House the award winning visitors
attraction is well worth a visit. It steps back in time to the 1920s
to see how a grocer's family lived in an ordinary semi-detached house and
threw nothing away for more than 60 years, living without many of the modern
comforts we take for granted - very interesting. With so many places
to visit this Hungry Horse attracts a mixture of customers from local
regulars to visitors from further afield travelling to see the nearby
history. The pub is
traditionally decorated, spacious and open plan with large areas for
families to dine. We serve quality food at a reasonable price and our
children's menu has appetizing choices for our younger visitors. There is seating outside for you to relax with a drink whilst the
children run off some energy in the play area during the summer months.
There is also a highly popular indoor Fun Factory for when the weather is
fine. Come and see us next time you are visiting this part
