12
miles from Peterborough with easy access to the A1(M) & A14, in the
small market town of Oundle, you will find the attractive looking Talbot
Hotel. This mainly 17th Century listed property has immense
character, but offers all the modern facilities you would expect from a
quality establishment. Should you choose to dine in our 'Manton
Restaurant,' which seats up to 60, you will not be disappointed with the variety of
tasty dishes our menus have to offer. Our food is
all freshly cooked to order with choices from traditional English Fayre, such as steak
& ale pudding to A La Carte dishes and a range of vegetarian options all
combined to offer you a very open, extensive, flexible range of meals. This truly unique building is steeped in history with the
biggest attraction being that the staircase which led Mary Queen of Scots
to her execution and a window from her cell were both recovered and
brought here, where they remain still. Any occasion you choose to
celebrate at the Talbot Hotel will be unforgettable. Guests of any special event held here, will remember the venue because
the hotel is so full of character. One of the function rooms has old oak
panelling and another has exposed
beams which make this traditional venue extra special. Conferences and meetings are also frequently held,
with full facilities available. The hotel offers 33 en-suite rooms
including our spectacular suites, the largest comprising of a twin and double
bedroom with separate lounge and en-suite rooms. The second suite
has a double bedroom with lounge and en-suite room. Feature bedrooms are also available.
Please do not hesitate to phone
for special prices and corporate rates. During your stay you may want to relax in our lounge bar
with a real fire lit during the winter months, or in the more lively wine
bar atmosphere of our second bar area. Business or leisure, visitors
or guests, you are all welcome at the Talbot Hotel.
