The Queen Eleanor
in Wootton is within easy commuting distance of London and Silverstone. This
beautiful building with balconies to the front and back is renowned for its
stunning floral displays in the summer and the lovely large garden with
and space for children to play. Olde worlde in style,
with two big fireplaces, plenty of wood features and oak beams, an excellent
atmosphere is created for a memorable time. The pubs history includes
being a hotel for many years and was named the Queen Eleanor after the wife
of King Edward. When she died in Scotland he brought her body down to
London to be buried and at every place he stopped a memorial statue was
erected! One of the statues being next to the pub. Newcomers
will find the people welcoming and the staff helpful. This gives an extra special
individual touch. Downstairs is a single large 'L' shaped room with 120 covers. There are
about a further 60 seats in the bar where we are also happy to serve you
your chosen meal. Whether it's for
a relaxed drink with friends or a meal with the family, the friendly team at this pub will ensure you are not
disappointed.
