Tafarn Tanerdy PhotoTafarn Tanerdy is situated on the outskirts of Carmarthen, close to the local hospital, just off the main A484 leading north.  The whitewashed building was formerly an old farmhouse and barn which was converted to a pub in the 1970’s.  Set in a rural location, on a hill overlooking the river Towi, there are superb views of the surrounding countryside and town.  The converted barn is now one big room with about 35 covers.  Bric-a-brac and farming memorabilia decorate the pub with wooden wheels, scythes etc. adorning the walls along with a couple of photos of the old local grammar school dating back to 1921.  Cooked to order, your freshly prepared food is served daily from our main menu and Specials board, along with an excellent carvery on a Sunday.  This big destination dining house has a good reputation for food and attracts passers by as well as the local regulars.  The atmosphere is that of a traditional pub, nice and relaxed, with a friendly, welcoming team who await your visit.

When you visit the pub please let the staff know you have seen it on Pub Explorer.
