Salt, formerly known as Bar Essential, is a corner pub located in the centre of Aberystwyth within a short walk of the railway station and with sea views to the front.  A large, impressive building, fully refurbished in November 2007, this venue is open plan and contemporary in design, set on two floors.  We genuinely cater for everyone here which is reflected in our clientele who are a mixed crowd, varying according to the time of day, from diners to those having a sociable drink and a friendly game of pool.  During term time local students come from the nearby university and holiday time attracts visitors and tourists.
