English Ale Festival in celebration of St George.
Come and take part in our new English Ale Festival, running
until the 28th May. As well as a number of English cask ales you
can request us to source locally brewed beers! In addition to
superb beers we have launched a newsletter with lots of helpful
information. You can also take part in our collector scheme,
whereby if you purchase 9 festival bitters you will be entered
into a free prize draw to win a limited edition glass tankard
engraved with the Festival logo. |

 The Shrewsbury Arms
is a good locals pub in Oxton, just a short distance from Prenton.
Refurbished in April 2008, the pub has one bar and is trouble
free with a reputation for quality real ales. The managers are Cask Marque
accredited which means the ale is served to perfection! 'Cellar
Person of the Year' was won in 2005 out-rivalling some sharp competition.
Food is served from a main menu and Specials board. Your meal can be
enjoyed in the beer garden during the summer months, weather permitting.
