 We are a very traditional local pub
serving 12 ever changing cask ales. Why go searching the country for
good ales, when we can bring them to you. We also have a fantastic
viewing cellar which allows you to see what goes on "behind the scenes".
Out ales are of the finest quality and as managers we have held the Cask
Marque statues since 2002. In the winter months join us around the
real log fire. On random nights we have been known to sit and roast
chestnuts, toast crusty bread and crumpets, basically anything that will
cook we have cooked (you must pop in and try Jo's specials baked bananas).
Among the entertainment we hold "Guitar Club" where customers get up and do
their own thing. "Poetry Club" which is an open mic session for any
budding poet. "Comedy Club" with top named comedians from all over the
world. All of these are held in in the function room and so do not
disturb the tranquillity (no music) of the main bar, basically we have two
pubs in one. If you want real ale, real food and a real atmosphere
