At the Childwall, we
specialise in traditional pub food at great value for money
prices. You can choose from our selection of classic pub dishes
such as fish and chips, sausage and mash, lasagne and steaks. We
also have a range of light bites and sandwiches if you prefer a
smaller meal. Food and drink can be enjoyed in our cosy bar with
its stone interior and large fireplaces. We also have a terrace
overlooking the bowling green which can be enjoyed in the warmer

Located just 4 miles from Liverpool City Centre and 5 minutes
from the M62 motorway you will find the
Childwall Abbey Hotel. We are opposite a
church, with parts dating back to the 13th Century. The pub is
believed to be built on the site of the original Abbey. We have an
outside appearance of a castle with turrets, this makes it quite different
look to other pubs in the area! Inside is olde worlde with two
separate rooms which branch off from the main bar. The fire place is
in bar area and there are two chesterfields in the bar window. Our
good pub food is served until late every day throughout the pub and
customers can enjoy an informal dining experience. There is very comfortable
accommodation with 7 en-suite rooms refurbished in 2008 with flat screen
TVs, luxurious bedding and usual tea / coffee making facilities. The
free wi-fi access, available throughout the building not just the rooms, is
a popular facility. We welcome mainly locals but are a good base for
visitors to the area. The outdoor children's play area is ideal for families
and the separate function room is suitable for anyone wanting to hold a
