The Birkey is a good locals bar situated in Crosby. Historically there has been a Birkley on this site since 1840. There is a picture on the wall of the pub showing the 1920 Birkley picnic, around the time it was knocked down and rebuilt. Today it has had a refurbishment in Spring 2005 and now has tasteful bright, modern decor in red, yellow and green. There are two separate bars. The lounge is where you can enjoy a quiet drink and a chat. The sports bar is where we show all major matches on the big screens, plasma screen and other TVs. There is also a pool table and darts board for friendly games over a pint. Other entertainment includes a weekly quiz and occasional live bands.
