The
Basset Hound has a traditional
appearance, as if it has been around for 200 years! Thingwall is a
pretty area and we attract many ramblers as they pass through.
Inside there is an open plan layout with two rooms. This is a cosy
pub with real coal fires lit during the cold days of winter. We
are food orientated with meals served from an extensive main main and
Specials board, which can be sampled anywhere in the pub or beer garden,
weather permitting. There is a good range of wines to choose from
to complement your meal and coffee to round it off. This is a pub
where you can feel relaxed straight away whether on your own or in
