The Old Black Lion is situated in the Fenland village of
Gedney,
Lincolnshire, adjacent to the busy A17, a main route from the North and Midlands
to the Norfolk coastal resorts and ports. Dating from the 1750's, the pub has an
enviable reputation especially for food and has entries in the "The Which Guide to
Country Pubs" and "The Good Pub Guide". The interior is
traditional, with beamed ceilings and a real fire. Music is subdued with no fruit
machines or jukebox in the eating areas. In 2002 we won the Lincolnshire
Life Magazine Gold Citation for Best Pub Meal. Come and try us out
soon.
