ABOUT
US |
|
A beautiful 16th century
manor house hotel with fantastic stained glass windows and oak
panelling, set in around 10 acres of grounds. The building’s history has
strong links to the Knights Templar and William Wilberforce’s work to
abolish slavery in the 1700s. Today’s hotel features 30 en-suite
bedrooms, and three function rooms for up to 85 guests – as well as an
open log fire and lovely, comfortable lounges. |

Rothley
is a quiet village to the east of Charnwood Forest. Rothley Court
Hotel is a
stunning manor house hotel with idyllic grounds, a beautiful
trout filled river and an ancient chapel. The
building is rambling with beautiful gardens, steeped in
history.
Today,
the splendid
oak-panelled restaurant offers a splendid setting to choose a meal from an extensive
menu with a fine wine list. Traditional bar food, morning coffee and afternoon tea are served in the
Babington Bar with its comfortable Chesterfields fronting a magnificent
fireplace. Throughout, furnishings and decor create a mood of relaxed
elegance, while personal service and facilities combine to ensure guests
want for nothing. Organise a meeting,
conference or special occasion at Rothley Court and the building, together
with its setting, will turn it into something quite exceptional. The hotel's 30 en-suite
bedrooms are divided between the main house and the beautifully converted
Court Mews which include luxurious feature rooms. Rothley has two village
greens and some of the finest timber framed houses in the country. A few
minutes walk will take you to the picturesque Great Central Steam Railway,
used as a location for many major film productions. The Craggy Heathlands
of Bradgate Park and Charnwood Forest are only a short drive away. The
acclaimed National Space Centre is well worth a visit. |
