 The Venture is
a traditional village pub situated in a pleasant location near the cricket ground and bowling green. There
used to be a lodge belonging to the 'Venture Coal Mine' on this site and
the pub was built in a similar style. The interior was refurbished
during 2004, in traditional decor and 'air quality' has been installed to
ensure a fresher atmosphere. We have an attractive decked patio area with
heaters and outdoor seating. This being the ideal place in the
summer to enjoy your quality meal. Whatever the time of year food is
served from a varied menu to suit all ages and customer tastes. You
will not find a better food house nearby. The Venture is a female friendly pub with a
warm, relaxed and trouble free atmosphere. It is inviting to all age
groups, being popular with
