 The Thatch & Thistle is situated on the outskirts of the town of Nelson, near Pendal Hill. Come off the M65 at Junction 13 and you have found us!
Built in 1996 this modern day, open plan pub has the look of a much older venue
with its thatched roof and floral displays. Food is served from a quality
extensive menu and your order can be faxed to us to avoid delay on arrival.
There is a range of wines to choose from to complement your meal or a selection
of real ales if you prefer. With no loud music to spoil your train of
thought the atmosphere here is relaxed, warm and friendly. A safe place to
relax in comfort and enjoy a good conversation with friends or family over a
quality drink or tasty meal. Our weekly quiz night provides entertainment. Our clientele are generally over 25 with younger
ones at the weekend, but we have a dress code of no football tops or baseball
