Taps PhotoIn the centre of Lytham St Annes, behind the Clifton Arms, you will find award Winning pub The Taps.  Historically this was originally ostlers' cottages where they used to change the horses over for the hotel a century ago.  Today we are a one room bar operation with very traditional wood flooring, wood beams, coal fires and rugby union memorabilia around the bar.  Outside there is seating in the back yard which is affectionately known as 'the yard of ale'!  There is no music, juke box or TVs to detract from conversation and the sing-alongs which take place around the piano in this cosy bar. Homemade food is served daily from a limited menu.  Our main claim to fame is our real ale. People visit us from far and wide to savour the quality ales we serve.  Our Cask Marque status ensures that your drink is served to the highest standard and we generally have eight to choose from!  We have won an award for the past 15 years and are currently ranked in the top 20 pubs in the UK (as voted in 'The Morning Advertiser). Having being in the business for a number of years Ian is the only landlord to win the CAMRA Pub of the Year title in two different pubs!  Check out this interesting venue on the website or, better still, call in and try us in person.

When you visit the pub please let the staff know you have seen it on Pub Explorer.
