Our mouth-watering new Autumn Winter menu offers a range of your favourite Chef & Brewer dishes. We also have a great selection of new dishes - so whether it's a platter to share with friends, a delicious starter or a classic main course, we have something to suit everyone!  The Romper in Altrincham is close to the airport on the road approaching the Concord Exhibition and Aviation viewing centre. The oldest part of the pub was built some 400 years ago and it used to be called the Red Lion. History has it that at some point the landlord changed the sign outside and the local regulars thought it looked more like a romping kitten than a red lion! Hence over time it became the Romper. Today it is known for its relaxed and friendly environment where open fires give a warm welcome in the winter and there are nooks and crannies to enjoy a cosy private meal. Like all Chef & Brewer pubs we employ high quality Chefs who have superb kitchen facilities. The food can be chosen from a main menu or unique Specials from the chalk boards which allow our Chefs to show their flair!
