REFURBISHMENT |
We re-opened following a
refurbishment Spring 2012. Inside we have kept the traditional features
with a contemporary twist. We now have all new flooring, furniture and
beautiful interior design. The pub outside has also been re-painted and
there are lovely touches in the garden such as lights in the trees
making it a pleasant place for a refreshment or meal. Come and see the

The
Red Lion Hotel
is a 16th Century Coaching Inn
with many nooks and crannies and little corners for more
intimate dining.
We re-opened following a refurbishment Spring
2012. Inside you are greeted with beautiful interior design with traditional
features in keeping with the age of the building such as a big feature wall
with a photo of the pub from 1860.
Inside has a lovely cosy feel. The pub is set in a
residential area in the small village of Newburgh so we are
always happy to see our regular locals. In addition we
also welcome many passers by and new faces as there are great places of
interest nearby such as the Martin Mere Wetland Centre which is home to over
100 species of rare and endangered ducks, geese, swans,
flamingos and beavers. For something more adventurous
there is Camelot Theme Park. There are good train links to
Manchester, Liverpool and other major towns and the station is not far from us. Our
function room can hold up to 40 people and we can cater for most
occasions. If you are looking to stay for a while we have 13 en-suite rooms
with all mod. cons. and free wi-fi access. Come and see us
