 The
Plungington is a very pleasant large local community pub on the main road
into Preston, only a couple of minutes from the motorway. In the centre of
a residential area we attract a friendly locals crowd who always make newcomers
very welcome. Our atmosphere is great with plenty going on throughout the
week. You can choose to spend your time in the TV room, which overlooks
the bowling green, the Vault bar or lounge. We have traditional
surroundings with half the pub being a former farm house, the lounge bar
retaining a large fireplace. The Vault bar has a big screen whereas the
lounge has 2 TVs so that customers can just sit in comfort or watch an exciting
game. Quality pints and bottled products are available at the bar, with
many of these being at discounted prices throughout the week. Outside there
is an excellent facility, the bowling green. This caters for large and small
parties who can take advantage of one of the best kept greens in the area.
There are a few teams who make this their home and we will take bookings at
weekends. Whether you are looking for a game of bowls or just good pub
hospitality, the Plungington has it all.
