 The Pelican is a large pub and being over 100 years old, we have plenty of history which is explained on a board outside. Located on the main road through the built up area of West Timperley, the pub is midway between Altrincham and Sale. With other pubs being a mile in either direction we are a popular venue for many different people. The Pelican is ideally situated for those going to Old Trafford, which is only 3½ miles away. We welcome both Man City and Man United supporters who all get along with each other. Since our refurbishment and change of concept in 2012, we have a bright, modern look with sofas and bucket seats in the bar to give a homely atmosphere. Our friendly atmosphere attracts families for dining as well as business people during the week. Weekdays see locals coming in for a drink and to watch sport. At the weekends we also attract students. Flaming Grill food is served from a varied menu with many weekly deals which go down well with couples and groups.
