Old Black Bull PhotoThe Old Black Bull in Preston is a town centre venue with a difference.  We attract a regular clientele and are also student friendly.  The pub dates back to the mid 1800s and has a mock Tudor frontage, black and white floor tiles throughout and a big fireplace.  It is thought that there are tunnels running under the pub to the church - access in the past for the monks to get to the Inn!  A tractor dropped into the tunnel whilst excavating for a car park and the ring road.  The present publicans have been in situ since about 1990 when students were frowned upon.  Today this has changed and the pub is included on the student pub crawl and they are welcome to enjoy the value for money meals and drinks offers.  Our real ales are a "must" as we have Cask Marque accreditation ensuring that our beer is of the highest quality.  Popular for Sport, all major matches are shown on the plasma and big screens and there is a pool table and darts board for more active games with friends.  With a live band at weekends and several teams, this is a pub with something for all.  Call in next time you're passing and join in the fun.
