in Penwortham centre on the High Street The
Fleece Inn is a traditional building
which was probably an old Coaching Inn in a previous life. The pub
has a lounge bar and snug but this may change with the move from Scottish
& Newcastle to Spirit Group once there has been a refurbishment.
Nowadays it attracts a good mix of regulars, workers and passers by who
come to enjoy tasty meals or a quality drink with friends or colleagues.
In July 2004 we were refurbished, becoming a more modern, bright and open
plan venue. We now offer an extensive quality main menu.
This is particularly popular when taken with a choice real ale from the
bar. Outside you will find a really good beer garden with plenty of
benches. Just the place for those few sunny summer days! Come and enjoy a quiz,
