Anchor PhotoJust off the A59 in a nice suburban area of Preston you cannot fail to find The Anchor.  This attractive, impressive old tudor-style building used to be a Coaching Inn on the Liverpool to Southport road.  Nowadays there is a games room used mainly by the regulars for football viewing and pay per view matches, pool and darts, a lounge where most of the passers by gravitate to and a conservatory which can be booked for private functions.  The age group ranges from 18 to the top of the spectrum with everyone welcomed into this trouble free, female friendly pub.  Choice food can be enjoyed anywhere inside, or out in the beer garden during the summer months.  The Anchor has the advantage of a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere during the day when it is more of a dining pub.  As night falls, the lights can be dimmed and it becomes a really good entertainment venue with quizzes, discos, live performances and Charity Events, depending on the night you come.  Our motto is “Excellent customer service and a warm welcome guaranteed”.  Come and see us soon and check out the summer sparkle as it happens!
