Robin Hood PhotoThe Robin Hood is a Courage house.  It has existed for more than 600 years and is a Grade II listed building, being one of the oldest pubs in the country.  Legend has it that here the Bishop of Rochester met pilgrims on their way to Canterbury.  Today this family run inn retains much of its olde worlde character.  It is notable for its pleasant saloon and Friar Tuck bar.  A wide selection of food and drinks are on offer, which may be enjoyed in a really friendly atmosphere.  Our food is prepared by a qualified chef and children are encouraged to use our restaurant.  Children are also catered for outside with a well equipped play area, large gardens, a woodland walk and wildlife such as ducks, birds of prey and exotic birds.  The pub is situated in a country setting on the side of Bluebell Hill, outside the village with views across the valley towards Rochester.  We are on the North Downs Way, next to Pilgrims Way and this is the area where Darling Buds Of May was filmed.  This is a unique pub in a wonderful, easily accessible location and certainly a pub which must be tried.

When you visit the pub please let the staff know you have seen it on Pub Explorer.
