The
Jolly Farmer
is a
rustic rural pub located in the heart of the community within the village of
Manston, near the Kent International Airport. The Red Arrows can be seen overhead if
you're lucky! History has it that the building has been a pub since
1639, before which it was a farmhouse. More recently World War II
pilots, based at Manson Airport, used the Jolly Farmer as their regular
local. Today we have a good mix of people who come from near and
further afield to this destination food house. Alan and Maggie, with
over 30 years combined experience in the trade, along with their Head Chef,
Jon offer excellent traditional English homemade cuisine from tempting
menus. With an excellent range of wines from all parts of the world to
complement your meal or a tasty real ale if you prefer you are sure to have
a time to remember. Using local trades people we are currently
undergoing a sympathetic restoration and refurbishment. Come and meet
the staff and our friendly nook ghost, Ena, soon and check out the
improvements for yourself. You are assured of a very warm welcome.
